Celebrity Bake Off: Where tweeted least?
While Ed Balls stole the nation's heart during Celebrity Bake Off last night, Somerset and Northern Ireland decided to skip the fun.

Britons can celebrate as their dose of Bake Off returns with a new series of Celebrity Bake Off for Sport Relief.
Household names have donned aprons, rolling pins and piping bags in a frantic battle to be named Star Baker, all in the name of Sport Relief.
In its first week, businesswoman and the Prime Minister’s wife, Samantha Cameron walked away with the Star Baker apron, after storming ahead of her competitors comedian Jason Manford, actress Mandy Hill, and ex-England goalkeeper David James.
This week, Ed Balls, former shadow chancellor, showed he can do more than tweet his own name as he warmed our hearts with his dad-skills through his impressive ski-jump cake, and football-themed muffins.

The former Labour cabinet minister battled against former Girls Aloud singer Kimberly Walsh, poker player Victoria Coren Mitchell, and sports presenter Chris Kamara.
Unfortunately, Ed had to settle for second place for the second time in the last twelve months after he was beaten by Kimberley.
Was Celebrity Bake Off on in Northern Ireland?
But while much of the nation was joining in with the fun, it appears that Northern Ireland didn’t tune in with the rest of us (or at least tweet about it).
Only a handful of tweets using the show’s hashtag were sent from near Belfast during its broadcast last night, and most were sent by a @lesleyj28, while tweets from the rest of the region were sparse.

Belfast didn’t fancy sharing its views on the show
But Northern Ireland wasn’t the only place lacking in tweets. Apparently Britons in Somerset had something better to do – or maybe they just couldn’t take their eyes off the screen to tweet about it.
Taunton, which has a population of nearly 65,000 potential tweeters (twitterers/tweetists/twits?), apparently had just one tweet shared from within it last night. Here it is:
@chris_kammy Excellent work, Chris. Some of your best. xx #GBBOSportRelief

Riveting.
Balls…
A huge collective groan must have been let out last night as Ed Balls missed out on the Star Baker apron, which was instead handed to Kimberley Walsh.
Ed was robbed. #GBBOSportRelief

Even former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott joined in the Celebrity Bake Off commentary.
Labour to launch full scale review into why Ed Balls lost #GBBOSportRelief.

Yvette missed it…
Oh dear. Poor Ed must have been left at home with the kids while he watched the show by himself as his wife, Yvette (who did keep her seat in May but didn’t win the election to be Labour leader), was too busy to join him on the sofa.
Been at an event all evening, just on my way back to watch #GBBOSportRelief How did he do?

But who is she kidding? She knew already.
